  1. Hello everyone,
I've just been reading the latest info from Bill McKibben at 350.org--about the day of action planned for Sat., Sept. 24th. The push this year is to demonstrate that in order to move ourselves and our stuff, we don't have to always rely on fossil fuel. There's an event planned in Montpelier, and the suggestion is that we all use alternative transport to get there. So I thought: what about a horsedrawn wagon taking a group from Woodstock/Pomfret all the way up to Montpelier. Not being a horse person, I don't know how long this would take--perhaps 2 or 3 days with just one team of horses, but we could make quite a point, don't you think? If you're interested, and especially if you or someone you know has a wagon and team we could use--let me know. Anne Bower, 457-2877 or anniebower@yahoo.com
